Who Is Cyrus Allen?
Cyrus Allen is an American football wide receiver from New Orleans who reached the NFL after developing across three college programs.
His college résumé is an important part of his story. Instead of spending his entire career at one school, Allen played at Louisiana Tech, Texas A&M and Cincinnati, eventually producing his biggest statistical season with the Bearcats.
That final college campaign helped move him into the 2026 NFL Draft conversation and ultimately led Kansas City to select him in the fifth round.
Allen should not be confused with other public figures who share his name. In an NFL context, Cyrus Allen refers to the Chiefs wide receiver born in 2003.
How Old Is Cyrus Allen?
Cyrus Allen was born on February 11, 2003, making him 23 years old as of October 2026. He is from New Orleans, Louisiana.
His age places him firmly in the developmental stage of his professional career. The 2026 season is his first in the NFL, so his résumé should be viewed as that of a rookie rather than an established veteran.
How Tall Is Cyrus Allen?
Allen is currently listed at 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds.
Some earlier football listings have shown slightly different measurements, which is common as players move from college to the NFL. For a current profile, his latest professional measurements are the most useful figures.
As a wide receiver, Allen’s job is primarily to create separation, run routes and catch passes rather than rely solely on size.
Cyrus Allen’s College Football Journey
Allen’s route to Kansas City included stops at three Football Bowl Subdivision programs.
Louisiana Tech
Allen established himself as a productive college receiver at Louisiana Tech.
Across the 2022 and 2023 seasons, he recorded 68 receptions for 1,278 yards and eight touchdowns.
His 2023 campaign included 46 catches for 778 yards and four touchdowns.
Texas A&M
Allen moved to Texas A&M for the 2024 season.
He recorded 18 receptions for 269 yards and one touchdown before transferring again.
That season did not produce his biggest numbers, but it added experience against high-level competition before his final college move.
Cincinnati
Allen’s season at Cincinnati in 2025 became his strongest statistical campaign.
He finished with 51 receptions for 674 yards and 13 receiving touchdowns.
The 13 receiving touchdowns tied Cincinnati’s single-season program record. Allen also became the Bearcats’ first player since 2022 to lead the team in catches, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns in the same season.
His performance also earned him Second-Team All-Big 12 honors.
When Was Cyrus Allen Drafted?
The Kansas City Chiefs selected Cyrus Allen in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft with the 176th overall pick.
That made Kansas City his first NFL team.
Unlike an undrafted rookie who must earn an opportunity after the draft, Allen entered the organization as one of Kansas City’s official 2026 draft selections and went through his first professional offseason competing for a place in the receiving rotation.
Cyrus Allen’s Rookie Season With the Chiefs
Allen is currently an active Chiefs wide receiver wearing No. 13.
Through Kansas City’s first four regular-season games of 2026, he appeared in all four but had not yet recorded an NFL reception. He had two targets during that span, with zero catches, zero receiving yards and zero receiving touchdowns.
Those numbers provide important context.
Allen received attention during the preseason and training period, but early optimism should not be confused with established regular-season production.
His opportunity could develop as Kansas City’s receiving personnel changes. Younger receivers may receive additional chances during the season, but Allen still has to turn those opportunities into regular-season production.
Cyrus Allen Contract and Salary
Allen signed a standard rookie contract after being drafted by Kansas City.
His reported four-year rookie contract is worth approximately $4.76 million, with an average annual value of roughly $1.19 million and about $379,476 reportedly guaranteed.
His listed 2026 base salary is approximately $885,000.
Those numbers should not be confused with one another.
The roughly $4.76 million figure represents the reported total value of the four-year contract, not Allen’s annual salary.
Average annual value is also simply a way of dividing a contract’s total value across its term. It does not necessarily represent the exact amount of cash a player receives in every season.
What Is Cyrus Allen’s Net Worth?
Cyrus Allen’s exact personal net worth is not publicly verifiable.
His NFL contract provides useful information about his professional football earnings, but contract value is not the same as personal wealth.
Taxes, expenses, investments, guarantees and other financial details are private.
For that reason, precise online claims about Allen’s net worth should be treated cautiously unless supported by reliable financial reporting.
Conclusion
Cyrus Allen remains at the beginning of his NFL career. His path from Louisiana Tech through Texas A&M and Cincinnati already shows significant development, while his 13-touchdown final college season explains why Kansas City invested a 2026 draft pick in him. His next challenge is turning that college production and early professional opportunity into a larger regular-season role with the Chiefs.
